RICHARD DUARTE

Richard began his dance journey at just 4 years old right here at Rhythms Dance Studio. Since then, he has participated in countless performances and has grown into a remarkable bachata dancer. Known for his natural charisma, stage presence, and passion for dance, Richard continues to inspire both his peers and the audience every time he steps on stage.

Ballet

MICHELLE OLSON

She graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.A. in both dance and anthropology. Dancing consistently since the age of three, she has trained in a wide variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, house, West African, and more. Her knowledge for dance and choreography was expanded at UCLA where she performed and showcased work in multiple productions in the World Arts and Cultures/Dance department.

Salsa / Bachata

Puerto Rican and Salvadorean descent, has been dancing since an early age for various Las Vegas salsa companies. He has also served as director of his own dance companies.

His performances exhibit an excelled and advanced salsa footwork, body movement, and styling, which is enhanced by a natural musicality and the ability to express sincere emotion through rhythm and movement.

Began his professional career in 2005 as a dancer as a dancer of the Majesty in Motion company in San Diego California. Where he also began to participate in national Salsa competitions and won his first championships.
This has allowed him to travel the world and achieve important recognition as an instructor, coach and choreographer as well as judge of several international Latin dance competitions.

Started her dance journey with salsa, but it was bachata that truly captured her heart. With a fierce passion & vibrant energy, she also teaches dancehall & reggaetón, sharing her love for Latin and urban rhythms with every class. Since arriving at Rhythms 3 years ago, Lu has become a driving force in the community-founding and leading the largest ladies styling bachata team in Las Vegas. Her mission goes beyond dance: she empowers women to own their strength, express their femininity, and shine unapologetically.
